How to Play Yahtzee

Each Turn

1. Click Roll Dice — all 5 dice are rolled.
2. Click any dice you want to keep (they glow teal). Then roll again.
3. You get up to 3 rolls per turn. After the first roll you can hold any dice and re-roll the rest.
4. After rolling at least once, click a category on your scorecard to lock in your score for that category. Green numbers show what you would score right now.

You must fill every category over 13 turns (you can always score 0 in a category as a sacrifice).

Upper Section (Ones – Sixes)

Ones / Twos / … / Sixes	Sum of all dice showing that number. e.g. three 4s → 12 pts
Upper Bonus	Score 63 or more in the upper section → earn a +35 bonus. Tip: averaging 3 of each number (3×1+3×2+…+3×6 = 63) hits the target.

Lower Section

3 of a Kind	At least 3 dice the same → score the sum of all 5 dice.
4 of a Kind	At least 4 dice the same → score the sum of all 5 dice.
Full House	3 of one number + 2 of another → 25 pts. e.g. three 3s and two 5s
Small Straight	4 consecutive numbers (1-2-3-4, 2-3-4-5, or 3-4-5-6) → 30 pts.
Large Straight	5 consecutive numbers (1-2-3-4-5 or 2-3-4-5-6) → 40 pts.
Yahtzee!	All 5 dice the same → 50 pts.
Chance	No requirement — just scores the sum of all 5 dice. Use this as a safe fallback for any bad roll.

Winning

After all 13 categories are filled for both you and the AI, scores are totalled (including any upper bonus). Highest total wins.
